Wedding seating chart planner
Tablewise is a free, browser-based planner for your wedding seating chart. Paste your guest list, add your tables, and seat people with a tap or a drag. A floor plan shows the whole room as you go.
Open the planner and start with your real guest list. You don’t need an account, and the planner is free.

- Paste your whole guest list at once. Put one guest per line, with an optional group after a comma (for example “Ana Lopez, Bride’s family”).
- Add tables of any size. Use round tables or long tables, add as many as you need, and give each one a name (“Head table”, “College friends”).
- Seat guests by tapping or dragging. Every table shows a live seat count, so you can see right away when one is full.
- Arrange the room on a floor plan. Drag tables to match your venue, zoom in and out, and print the plan.
- Print a table-by-table list for your planner or for the day itself.
- Back up and restore your plan as a file, so you can move it to another device or share it with your partner.
Your guest list stays private
Tablewise has no server and no database. Your plan is saved in your own browser on your own device, so nothing you type is uploaded. One thing to know: if you clear your browser data, the plan is erased. Use “Download backup” now and then to keep a copy.
Optional Pro tools ($7, one time)
The free planner is a complete planner. If you want shortcuts for the final week, Pro is a one-time $7 unlock with no subscription. It adds:
- Auto-arrange, which keeps groups together
- Locked guests, which auto-arrange won’t move
- “Keep apart” rules
- Printable escort lists and place cards
- CSV export
- Room features on the floor plan (dance floor, stage, bar)
- Saving the floor plan as a high-res image
Tips for a smoother wedding seating chart
- Seat your head table or sweetheart table first. Then place immediate family nearby.
- Keep groups together where you can: family branches, college friends, coworkers.
- Plan for one or two spare seats in case of last-minute RSVP changes.
- Check the room layout with your venue so the floor plan matches the space you’ll actually have.
